Hi, my name is Rochel. At the time I conducted this science project I was 13 years old. It was a good choice of topics for me personally because, I enjoy the study of fruit behavior. I presented my project to judges at the regional Mid-Columbia Science
Fair on March 13, 2003. I got an Award of Distinction for Experimental
Design. I also received a placement award of honorable mention and a $50.00
check from Apple Tree.
My Family
My father, Gary, lives out of the area and is a mechanical engineer. He has many hobbies such as reading, snowmobiling, and chopping wood. My older brother, Drue, is a college student in Tacoma and will graduate this spring. He loves fishing, hunting, and preparing experiments that involve mud minnows, a type of fish. My dog, Grizzly, is a very silent creature and grunts when he is in the process of laying down. He is a funny animal that loves to play baseball as well as soccer.
My Hobbies and Interests My name is Rochel and I am extremely interested in sports. I play school basketball and play the position of point guard and shooting wing. I ran cross-country and finished 3rd in the mid-regional cross-country tournament in Leavenworth, Washington. I play soccer for the YYSA league as well as school. I enjoy playing my saxophone, hiding from my dog, listening to music, and reading my bible.
My Plans for the Future When I grow up I plan to graduate from high school and then attend DUKE University and become a surgeon at a medical hospital. I look forward to getting married and raising 3 gorgeous children. After medical school I plan to receive a job at a major hospital or a surgery facility. At the age 62 I plan to retire and become a lawyer and help support children foundations.
