Hi, my name is Kierea. At the time I conducted this science project I was 12 years old. It was a good choice of topics for me personally because, I enjoy the learning about and studying the human body.

I presented my project to judges at the regional Mid-Columbia Science Fair on March 13, 2003. I got an Award of Distinction for Experimental Design. I also received Honorable Mention.

I also took my project to the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair on April 4, 2003. I got a first place in my category. I was also nominated for a Discovery Channel's Young Scientist Challenge. 

My Family

I have six members in my family. My dad is named Mike, he works with NLA, which is sponsored by a government grant and helps at risk jr. high students. He enjoys yachting and everything with the water. My mom's name is Jody, she works at a finance company and is also a Senior Director with Mary Kay. She is a major people person, she enjoys being with her family and working as a Mary Kay Senior Director. I have two brothers. Tanner, who is 15 years old, enjoys sports. He also enjoys measuring himself to see if he's grown that 1/2 inch and is 6 feet tall. Kekoa, who is 12 years old, enjoys sports. He has broken both of his arms in a time period of months. I also have one sister named Kalei, who is 10 years old, she loves to dance, and is starting to play lots of sports. One of my favorite members of the family is my cat, Kona. We usually refer to her as KittyWampus, the name says it all.

To sum it all up, I am a sports fanatic. I absolutely love volleyball, and also have a great time playing basketball, fast pitch, and golf. I also do track, which I love, my main event is the high jump. It is my 1st year and my personal record is 4 ft 10 in. I like school, love to hang out and talk to all of my friends, and also love to listen to music or watch a classic chick flick.

I plan to finish high school, and graduate with a 4.0 GPA. From there I plan to go to BYU University in Utah, hopefully on a volleyball or track scholarship. I want to study business there because of it's great business program. When I am 18 I plan to join the Mary Kay company and become an Executive Senior Director before I graduate. After graduating I plan to continue Mary Kay and become and Executive National Senior Sales Director. At some point during this time, I plan to get married, start a family, and of course have a dog and a cat.
