Hi, my name is Myca. At the time I conducted this
science project I was 13 years old. It was a good choice of topics for
me personally because, I know that fresh water is hard to find in some
places and using it to grow plants is somewhat wasteful. If a way
to re-use gray water could be found that would conserve fresh drinking
water. While at the Mid- Columbia Regional Science fair I won an honorable
mention and an award for clarity of presentation. At the State Science
Competion I received a second place award.
My Family At home I live with my family which includes my
younger sister Sonia, who is in 6th grade and is also involved in the Soar
program. She is sweet most of the time. I have a mom named Tawni and a
dad named Brian. My parents are awesome, because they help me a lot. They
both work as teachers, my mom here at this school and my dad works at YVCC.
I live out in the country so I have a lot of animals which I count as family.
I have a cat named Barkley, a cat named Dixie, two siamese cats named Ben
and Jerry, a dog named Maddie, another dog named Oscar, 18 chickens, 2
cows, and we plan on getting a St. Bernard soon.
My Hobbies and Interests Some of my hobbies include volleyball, basketball,
golf, shopping, and spending time with my friends and family. In spare
time I like to laze around the house and read. I enjoy collecting stuffed
animals and Beanie Babies. Like I said earlier I live way out in the country
and enjoy the outdoors and doing activities outside. I am also really involved
with God, my family and I go to church in Ellensburg and worship
God.
My Plans for the Future As soon as I get out of high school I would like
to go to go to the University of Washington and receive my degree in dentistry.
(Which will take me eight years) When I get out of college I plan on starting
my own business as a dentist with my sister. During that time I hope to
get married and have three children. During my vacations as an adult I
also want to go to different countries and be a missionary.
