Hi, my name is Alex. At the time I conducted this science project I was in 7th grade and I was 13 years old. It was a good choice of topics for me personally because, I really like physics and how impact works. At the Mid-Columbia Regional Science Fair my project earned an award of distinction for creativity. I also won an honorable mention from the Mechanical Engineers. At the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair in Bremerton, my project earned a 7th grade 1st place award. I also won a Discovery Young Scientist award.
My Family
My family lives in Selah, Washington. My mom is very kind and supportive with my activites. She's smart and friendly. My sister, Melanie, is nice and we get along great, when were both happy. We live on a small orchard in a manufactured house.
My Hobbies and Interests
In my spare time I like to play sports like soccer, baseball, and track. I love to go camping and swimming. I really like to play with building toys like Legos. I also enjoy watching TV, playing on the computer, and video games. I like to garden and work outside.
My Plans for the Future
When I'm older, I hope to go to a good college and get a good education. I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up, but I want to have a good paying job in a field that I enjoy.
