Mary L.

2001

Hi, my name is Mary. At the time I conducted this science project I was thirteen years old. Human memory was a good choice of topics for me personally because, I am interested in doing something relating to children or even teaching when I grow up.  At the Mid-Columbia Regional Science Fair, my projected earned an Award of Distinction for Scientific Method.  I also won an honerable mention for my grade overall.  At the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair in Bremerton, Washingtion, my project recieved a second place award.

My Family
I live with my mother, father and two sisters.  My mom's name is Leanne and my dad's is Jeff.  I have one older and one younger sister.  My older sister, Laura is15 years old.  My younger sister, Carmen is 10 years old.  We live in Yakima, Washington.  We have twelve pets, three dogs, three adult cats, four kittens and two goldfish.

My Hobbies and Interests
I have many different hobbies and interests.  I enjoy many sports like basketball and soccer.  I also like many non-team activities such as swimming.  My favorite thing to do is go shopping and hang out with my friends.  I love riding bikes, walking and camping.  I play the piano and have been for seven years.  My favorite food is icecream and my favorite things are frogs.  I collect many frog item such as stuffed animals and small figurines.  I also want a pet frog.  I think the main reason I like frogs is because I was born on leap year, February 29.

My Plans for the Future
I plan to graduate from highschool and go to college at the University of Washington.  Right now I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up, but I think I would like to do something involving children.
