Chris C.

2001

Hi, my name is Chris. At the time I conducted this science project I was twelve years old. The dissolution times of pain relievers was a good choice of topics for me personally because, I always wanted to see if commercials actually were telling the truth about their advertisements.  At the Mid-Columbia Regional Science Fair, my project received 3rd Place in Chemistry and a award of distinction for Scientific Method.  I also got first place from the American Institute of Young Chemists.  At the Washington State Science & Engineering Fair in Bremerton WA, I got a second place for chemistry.

My Family
There are five people in my family.  My Dad, Mom, Mike, Alex (my brothers), and me.  I am the youngest in my whole family.  My oldest brother is attending college at The University of Washington, and my other brother is a junior at the Selah High School.  My Mom is a very good cook.  I will eat almost anything she cooks.

My Hobbies and Interests
Some of my hobbies include basketball, table tennis (ping pong), playing on the computer (one of my favorites), watching T.V. and just hanging out with my friends.  I am good with computers and can figure out a lot of things.  I usually teach things to myself like figuring out how to add a design to a document.  I also like going target practicing with my friends using cans or drawings.

My Plans for the Future
I plan to graduate from college at The University of Washington.  I will either become a doctor or something that has to do with computers like a software designer.  If I become a doctor then I would try to find a medicine to cure cancer or some fatal disease.  If I become a software designer I would like to be someone like Bill Gates because he is a great software designer and has a lot of money.  Besides the money, being a software designer would be very interesting and fun.  Usually, I just like playing on the computer.  There are many other reasons why I would like to have one of these jobs.  I also want to have a nice house and a family.
