History
Interior design has been around since1470. One of the first Interior
decorators was Pazzlo Daun Zati. In the 1470’s every thing was the same,
no one got input about the color the walls were painted or what furniture
was put in. Now no ones house is the same and The Interior designers
work for what their client wants instead of the style. Now you don’t
know what’s coming next!
| Who I Interviewed
And What I Learned
I interviewed Judy Lyon on Tuesday January 14,2003. I held my interview
in Yakima at The Village Shoppe. I asked her lots of questions and
got wonderful answers. Judy went to college and studied art and history.
Judy has been involved with interior design all her life. Her job is being
a partner in this business. She visits people’s houses and helps them make
important decisions. Then we talked about schooling. Judy thinks
that it is very important to have lots of schooling. She went to
college for three years. Next we talked about the fun benefits of
interior design. I asked her what she enjoys and she told me she
likes that every one’s ideas are different. Then, I asked her about her
salary. She told me that she makes a couple thousand a month.
Some times she makes even more. I asked her about her hours
also; she works seven hours a day.
Then we discussed the history of interior design. Judy thinks that
interior design has been around since the beginning of history. Next,
we talked about what has changed the most. Judy thinks that what has changed
the most is that now people do what they like and want to do. Then
we talked about new things that might happen soon. Judy thinks
that there will be a connection with older ages and for colors, lots of…black.
Then we talked about problems facing interior design. Judy thinks there
is too many items too choose from. Next, I asked how long Judy has
been working as an interior designer. She replied that she has been
a professional interior designer for six years.
